Subject: Historical Value
By today's standards, this may be rather average home movie material. But I have heard that this is the only known surviving film clip of this now long-gone railway. The steadiness of the on-board camera work is also impressive for 1917.

A Very scary looking train ride that sort of predates gondola rides I guess. This train ride will take you up and down Mount Tamalpais in California. Aside from the uh, lack of safety measures, (all of you in the back! Sit DOWN!) This is somewhat ho-hum.

WHEEEEEEE! See a bunch of people riding down a mountain in a rickety "gravity train." Money shot of people waving hats. Exciting things happening back in 1917...although it's interesting to see the view from different vantage points. Fun little clip.

Subject: Mount Tamalpais Gravity Railroad
A short, blurry clip of a bunch of tourists riding a gravity railroad up a mountain. This has some historical value, I suppose, but not much else. A 1917 film.
